ISP Sports is the country’s largest and fastest growing multimedia rightsholder, serving as an active partner for more than 40 of America’s leading universities, four major conferences and two postseason bowl games. ISP offers Comprehensive Multimedia Sports Marketing, Event Management, and Sports marketing Consultation and Promotional Support Services. ISP Sports needed to upgrade their existing Access-based Contracts and VB-based Billing applications, as well as automate a number of critical reports to a new web-based application. ISP wanted to centralize its data, streamline data entry, improve report accuracy, and provide flexible role-based remote access. ISP selected JSWCoto develop an ASP.NET application to make use of the latest technology and security, as well as provide a solid foundation for improved scalability and future growth.

 
Warranty Web Application
 

DryDog Barriers is a leading provider of solutions for the moisture control Industry. Their products are used in various segments of the building construction industry but are primarily focused on the commercial and residential waterproofing and repair industry. DryDog Barriers partnered with JSWCo to build an ASP.NET application to manage the warranty workflow and improve the storage of warranty and related records. Stored in a SQL Server database and through the data entry web pages, data imports, administrative web pages, and reporting provided warranty data management is greatly improved. In addition to is internal uses DryDog is now leveraging this application in its sales and marketing efforts as a service offering to its customers.

 
Agent PortalJSW
 

The Assurance Group has established itself as one of the largest Insurance Marketing Organizations (IMOs) and preeminent independent distributors in the marketplace. To keep up with its significant growth and increased volume of agents and policies, The Assurance Group (TAG) partnered with Co to build a web-based Agent Portal. Built using ASP.NET the Agent Portal has enabled TAG to support selling its varied product offerings from multiple national carriers across its five divisions. In addition the Portal simplifies production data entry, accepts credit card payments, facilitates setting up direct deposit for agents, all integrated with their GBS and Microsoft CRM data platforms.

 
Pickle Patrol Handheld Tool
 

Since 1926, The Mt. Olive Pickle Company has grown to be the best selling brand of pickles in the Southeast, and the second-best selling brand of non-refrigerated pickles in the country. To improve data accuracy, maintainability, as well as managerial decision-making Mt. Olive needed to enhance its Handheld based “Pickle Patrol” application and rewrite its back-office reporting Admin Tool. Mt. Olive partnered with JSWCo to build a handheld application using the compact .NET framework used by the field sales “Pickle Patrol” team to collect pricing, facing, distribution, and other marketing data at various retail distribution locations around the country. The data is stored in Pocket SQL on the handheld and replicated to a SQL Server database. JSWCo built an ASP.NET based reporting, data import, and admin tool for data mining and review.

 
Office Portal
 

Established in 1977, S&N Communications, Inc. has become recognized throughout the mid-Atlantic and Southeast as reliable and cost effective telecommunications and coaxial cable infrastructure providers. With a customer base that includes Verizon, AT&T, Time Warner, and Comcast and over 25 regional offices S&N needed to build an integrated web portal. S&N has partnered with JSW Co to build several back office applications. In recent years these applications have included several ASP.NET and SQL Server based web applications to facilitate the entry, workflow, and tracking of worker payroll, equipment management, work order progress, contractor assignment, and invoice collection management.

 
TRAX Product Design System
 

Carolina Pad sources products from global suppliers. The TRAX web system built by JSWCo is a workflow-based tool to manage the procurement of products from agents and factories through the world. Its innovative design allows CPP user’s to define new products each with a unique set of requirements. TRAX also collects pricing, duty, and other information required to complete the overseas procurement process.

 
Harvest Management System
 

Seven Islands owns and manages timberland in the state of Maine. JSWCo replaced their existing desktop data collection system with a browser-based tool that increased automation and improved efficiency and reporting. The new web application integrates with the company’s Dynamics accounting software.



Supply Chain Automation.
 

Krispy Kreme partnered with JSW & Co. to evaluate the company’s internal raw material order and delivery process. An initial analysis and design engagement concluded that improving process and supply chain communication would deliver significant ROI. Microsoft-based web development tools were used to build a system that replaced many of the manual procedures that formerly had dominated much of the supply chain. The new supply chain system was deployed inside Krispy Kreme’s existing intranet portal, and the system synchronized data with the existing Macola accounting, inventory and billing system. Krispy Kreme management has praised the system’s effectiveness internally and in the press on numerous occasions. J.S. Walker has continued to provide custom software development services for Krispy Kreme, most recently using Microsoft .Net technology.

Internet-based Purchase Order System.
 

Century Furniture Industries needed a solution to deliver purchase orders to their 1,000 suppliers worldwide. Century had installed a world-class ERP system using SAP, and the Century VP of Global Logistics envisioned a web-based purchase order system as a strategic addition to the core SAP functionality.
Century decided to develop a pilot web-based purchase order system and chose J.S. Walker & Co. to be their development partner. Century Supplier Net was created to take the purchase order data from SAP and deliver it to the supplier seamlessly. J.S. Walker & Co. worked closely with Century IT staff to not only help solve the technical issues, but also to create a solution that was well-received by the supplier community and which achieved payback in less than one year.

Internet-based Purchase Order System
TreoSystems - a start up firm focused on delivering point-of-service solutions to the retail industry - needed a development partner to pilot a wireless handheld application suite, to be marketed to "big box" retailers. J.S. Walker & Co. was chosen after evaluating several software firms.
J.S. Walker & Co. provided technical research and development of iPAL, and rapidly completed the initial project -- within an aggressive 60-day window. The application uses the Microsoft .NET framework and is deployable on several manufacturers' handheld devices. J.S. Walker & Co. partially credits the .NET framework for its speed to market.
Cisco systems has recognized TreoSystems as one of its value-added partners, and has placed the iPAL solution in each of their five Executive Briefing Centers.

Web-based Sales Forecasting.
A paper and pad manufacturing company, which had highly seasonal demand, knew that accurate sales forecasts very critical. Their existing attempts to manually collect and analyze forecasts using spreadsheets was complicated by the need to communicate with a number of field sales personnel scattered across the country. We created a web-based sales forecast system developed with Microsoft .NET that uses forecasting models to establish initial estimates that can be viewed and edited by the sales staff. The models account for seasonal variations are based on actual data that is automatically retrieved from an AS/400 system. Reporting is done through the .NET Crystal Report engine, which produces high quality reports into PDF documents for printing or downloading from the web site.

Web-based LIFO Accounting.

The LIFO system provides a remote data entry tool for auto dealerships to enter LIFO accounting figures for their end-of-year car inventory. Tax department and administrative users access the site to consolidate and calculate the final LIFO data. This system replaced a manual process where diskettes of data were submitted from the dealerships. The intranet site uses the latest in Microsoft .NET technology.

 

 
 
Consumer Web Site.
"Ministry Watch" is a web site for providing information on non-profit organizations. This service is being provided by Wall Watchers Inc., itself a non-profit venture. Data for this site is collected, analyzed, and summarized by Wall Watcher staff using a database and application developed by J.S.Walker. The composite data is uploaded to the SQL Server database and presented via an ASP-based application, also produced by J.S.Walker.

Web-based Procurement.

J.S. Walker & Company, Inc. has developed and is providing a web-based, business-to-business procurement application specifically designed to accommodate users that process Request for Quotes - RFQs. This application uses a "cart" approach to collect RFQ information and provides a means to forward these requests on to selected vendors. These vendors then provide price and availability through the application allowing for a final quotation to be sent to the customer. The customer accesses this web-based system to check quotes, place orders, and view status.

 
 
Web-based Reporting.

The Direct Mail Sales Tracking system provides a data analysis and reporting tool for companies conducting direct marketing campaigns. This web-based application efficiently compiles marketing response data and generates reports that are available to specified users via a secure internet site. The quick reporting provides management with insight into the performance of a campaign far sooner than normal, allowing them to make informed assessments and tactical adjustments.


 
Oracle Client/Server.

The Key Performance Indicator System is a data warehousing and reporting application that allows users to define and monitor a custom set of performance measures. Data for these measurements can come from multiple sources. The KPI system can import fixed width, delimited, or XML-formatted files. Validation and translation of data can be controlled by the application and performed automatically. Custom reporting, with high graphical content, is supported.


 
Oracle Reports.

A large financial institution wanted to provide branch personnel with detailed demographic, competitive, and product use data for their specific market area. With more detailed information, local managers could adapt their marketing efforts to the unique needs of their customers and prospects. The challenge was to produce an 18-page report, customized for each one of their 2500 branches, with data sourced from 5 or 6 dissimilar systems. J.S.
